Eagle Road microseal and bridge repair night work begins in late July

BOISE - Surface improvements to Eagle Road (Idaho 55) are scheduled to begin the week of July 24 and continue through September. This work will extend the pavement life along this busy corridor.

All construction will occur at night and the road will reopen to normal conditions during the day.

ITD is applying a microseal on Eagle Road beginning at Idaho 44 and moving south to Interstate 84.

Crews will work in one-mile increments between 10 pm and 5 am. In the impacted area, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction with flagger control.

Periodic access and cross street closures will be necessary during construction. Minimal noise and light impacts are also anticipated in the work zone.

Repairs to bridges over the Boise River and I-84 will also be occurring in the corridor beginning in mid-August, with similar lane reduction impacts. This maintenance preserves the life of each bridge deck.

For both projects, most work will occur on weekdays, although some weekend work is possible.

Geneva Rock is the contractor on the microseal project and Truesdell Corporation is overseeing the bridge repair work.
