RIGBY - An open house on proposed changes to the lane configuration along Idaho Highway 48 at 4000 East and 4100 East near Rigby will be held Wednesday (Aug. 9) from 6 to 7 p.m. in South Fork Elementary School, 327 North 4100 East.

Officials of the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) will discuss adding left-turn lanes to Idaho 48 at the highway’s intersection with 4000 East and 4100 East. Officials also will discuss realigning 4100 East to correct the existing skew and adding a southbound right-turn lane to 4100 East. Improvements are planned for 2020.

Citizens are invited to provide input, which will help ITD design the project in partnership with Jefferson County. The project aims to improve traffic safety along the busy roads.
