US-95 milling and paving through Moscow will impact traffic, businesses Aug. 17-28
LEWISTON - Milling and paving on US-95 from the South Fork Palouse River Bridge, south of Palouse River Drive, to the intersection with Idaho Highway 8, is expected to impact drivers and businesses during daytime hours for the next week and a half. The most significant traffic impacts are expected to occur Thursday and Friday (August 17-18).
Crews will begin milling off the top section of roadway surface around 5 a.m., with paving coming through 10 a.m. in that same section.
Crews will block three of the lanes, leaving one lane open in each direction. Intersections and driveways will be temporarily closed during the rehabilitation as the milling and paving operations cross directly in front of the intersections and driveways.
The work is expected to continue throughout the day and finish by that evening. Paving for this section of roadway will continue through the week and is expected to be completed by August 28. There will be three more smaller phases of work in the area.
Work on this $3.55 million job, contracted to Poe Asphalt, of Clarkston, Washington, is expected to finish by late September.
