Peasley Creek fish-passage project on Idaho Highway 14 starts Aug. 25
LEWISTON - Crews will replace an existing culvert with a bottomless arch pipe on Idaho Highway 14 about 25 miles southeast of Grangeville beginning on Friday (August 25). The work is expected to finish by early October. The culvert will facilitate fish movement from Peasley Creek into the South Fork Clearwater River.
The culvert will get replaced by an 83-foot-long bottomless arch pipe. Approximately a half-foot of asphalt will be applied over the top to match the roadway's surface.
The construction crew is expected to work a Monday through Friday schedule from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Drivers should expect minor delays during the construction. Temporary traffic signal systems will be used to control traffic. ITD appreciates the patience of drivers during this period.
M.L. Albright & Sons Inc., from Lewiston, is the contractor on this $360,000 project.
