Construction of Robertson Slough in Weiser to begin; update on US-95 repaving project

BOISE-Construction on the Robertson Slough Bridge on US-95 south of Weiser will begin in late September.

The bridge near Couper Lane, will be replaced as part of the Idaho Transportation Department's preservation and maintenance program.

During construction, the approaches to the bridge and the structure itself will be reduced to one lane with temporary signals on either end of the bridge. The speed limit will be reduced and flaggers may assist motorists through the work zone.

Work will occur during weekday hours. The entire project will be complete this winter.

US-95 Resurfacing Update

ITD is on schedule to begin US-95 pavement rehabilitation between Payette and Weiser in spring 2018. The project will improve the surface of the road and extend the life of the roadway, as well as enhance safety along the corridor. Those safety improvements include construction of turnouts and turn lanes in various locations along the highway.

The majority of this work will occur next year-including the repaving of US-95 itself. Some turnout construction may begin later this year. Details of that work will be shared when it is finalized.
