Osgood Interchange ramp reconstruction begins Monday (Sept. 11)
RIGBY - The Idaho Transportation Department will begin reconstructing three ramps at the Interstate 15, Osgood Interchange (Exit 128) north of Idaho Falls. Work will begin Monday, Sept. 11 and will last approximately six weeks.
The project includes replacing the northbound on-ramp and both southbound ramps, realigning the ramps to improve sight distance, and upgrading the guardrail.
The speed limit on I-15 will be reduced to 65 mph, and shoulders will be restricted. Other traffic impacts will include a three-week closure of the northbound I-15 on-ramp beginning Wednesday, Sept. 13. Traffic will be detoured to the I-15 interchange in Roberts during the closure.
"ITD wants everyone to arrive at their destination safely as construction on I-15 continues," said Bryan Young, ITD staff engineer. "Please plan extra time, slow down and pay attention in the work zones."
