Public comment sought on improvements to US-30 in eastern Idaho
GEORGETOWN - The Idaho Transportation Department is hosting a public meeting Wednesday (Sept. 13) to take comments on proposed improvements to US-30 in eastern Idaho.
The highway route is heavily used by freight and semi-truck vehicles.
The public meeting is next Wednesday at Georgetown Elementary, 142 Stringtown Road, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Proposed improvements consist of pavement rehabilitation, shoulder widening, guardrail upgrades, roadway alignment (near Milepost 422), and drainage and pedestrian ramp improvements. They are planned for the section of US-30 that runs from the Georgetown Summit to Nounan Road, which is about six miles in length.
To view a postcard announcing the public meeting, please visit www.itd.idaho.gov/D5 and click on the "Design Projects" tab, then US-30: Georgetown Summit to Nounan Road. Materials from the public meeting will be posted to the same location after the meeting is held next week.
