Speed limit changes this week on East Main Street in Burley
SHOSHONE---The Idaho Transportation Department will be reducing the speed along US-30/East Main Street in Burley in an effort to enhance safety in the area.
The speed will decrease from 45 mph to 35 mph for approximately a third of a mile between Idaho Highway 81 and Pomerelle Avenue. A recently conducted traffic and engineering study supports the reduction as more development moves into the region.
Signs designating the 35 mph zone are anticipated to be installed later this week. The current speed limit will remain in effect until new signs have been installed.
