Media Advisory: ITD to talk about work zone safety
COUER d'ALENE--As the highway construction season begins and as part of National Work Zone Awareness Week, the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) will hold a media briefing. ITD reminds Idahoans that work zone safety is all of our responsibility.
Drivers are encouraged to slow down and put away distractions, especially in work zones. Last year, nine people were killed in crashes in and around work zones across Idaho.
ITD spokesperson Mike Lenz will be available Wednesday, April 11 at 10 a.m. to talk about work zone safety at the maintenance yard behind the district office at 600 West Prairie Avenue. B-roll will be provided to media in attendance.
