MEDIA ADVISORY: ITD to discuss 2018 construction, work zone safety
BOISE – As the highway construction season begins and as part of National Work Zone Awareness Week, the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) will hold a media briefing. ITD representatives will discuss construction projects and traffic impacts this year.
Last year, nine people were killed in crashes in and around work zones across Idaho. None of them were highway workers. ITD reminds Idahoans that work zone safety is all of our responsibility. Drivers are encouraged to slow down and put away distractions, especially in work zones.
When – Wedneday, April 11, at 10:30 a.m.
Where – 8150 Chinden Blvd, Garden City, ID
Who – ITD representatives Jake Melder and Jennifer Gonzalez
Reporters will gather at the Garden City Office by 10:30 a.m. The group will be escorted to the maintenance shed behind those offices for the media briefing.
