Media Advisory: ITD launches Work Zone Safety week April 11 in Pocatello
POCATELLO – As the highway construction season begins and as part of National Work Zone Awareness Week, the Idaho Transportation Department(ITD) will hold a media briefing. ITD reminds Idahoans that work zone safety is all of our responsibility.
Drivers are encouraged to slow down and put away distractions, especially in work zones. Last year, nine people were killed in crashes in and around work zones all across Idaho, including 2 of those people in Eastern Idaho alone.
ITD engineer Dan Harelson will be available Wednesday, April 11 at 1:30 p.m. Media representatives are
invited to meet at the District 5 office at 5151 South 5th Ave. Pocatello, ID 83204 for questions and visit to the Inkom Bridge Repair project.
