MEDIA ADVISORY: ITD to talk about work zone safety
SHOSHONE - As the highway construction season begins and as part of National Work Zone Awareness Week, the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) will hold a media briefing. ITD reminds Idahoans that work zone safety is all of our responsibility.
Drivers are encouraged to slow down and put away distractions, especially in work zones. Last year, nine people were killed in crashes in and around work zones across Idaho.
ITD spokesperson Jessica Williams, along with other members of ITD, will be available Thursday, April 12 to talk with reporters about work zone safety. They will be north of Twin Falls at the US-93/400 S construction site near the Valley Country Store from 11:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. B-roll will be provided to media in attendance.
For additional information, please contact Jessica Williams at (208) 886-7806 or by e-mail at jessica.williams@itd.idaho.gov.
