US-93 construction to begin in Twin Falls County next week
SHOSHONE -- Work along US-93 is expected to begin the week of May 7 in Twin Falls County, finishing in October. Pavement rehabilitation will occur from Deep Creek to the north city limit of Hollister (milepost 20-27).
In addition to paving work to fix ruts in the highway surface, the roadway shoulders also will be widened in this stretch to improve safety for drivers.
During working hours, traffic on this portion of US-93 will be reduced to one lane with flaggers guiding traffic. Motorists may encounter minor delays. Drivers also should expect reduced speeds throughout the project
Motorists should watch for crews during working hours -- Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Western Construction, of Boise, is the contractor for this $4.6 million project.
