Idaho Highway 21 bridge preservation work begins next week

BOISE – Preservation work on seven Idaho Highway 21 bridges between Boise and Lowman is scheduled to begin this week (May 14-20). Improvements will protect and preserve pavement life.

Most bridge work will be complete by early- to mid-June. Anticipated impacts include speed reductions and periodic lane closures, with flagger and signal control. The South Fork of the Payette River bridge will undergo a full replacement, resulting in a single-lane of travel with signal control through August.

Additional nighttime bridge preservation work in the Treasure Valley is scheduled for June and July in the following locations with minimal impacts to the traveling public.

- I-84, Meridian Road Interchange
- I-84, Broadway Avenue Interchange
- I-84, Cole-Overland Interchange
- I-84, Gowen Road Interchange
- Broadway Avenue, Boise River Bridge
