Civil Air Patrol searching for Cessna 182 that went missing yesterday on way to McCall

BOISE - An aircraft that went missing on its way to McCall from Boise yesterday (Sunday, May 13) just after noon has still not been found nearly a day later. Idaho’s Civil Air Patrol has joined the search for the missing Cessna 182.

The four-seat, personal aircraft left Boise yesterday at 12:30 p.m., but did not arrive in McCall. The flight path between the two cities has been searched by both radar and cell phone. No flight plan was filed that might help narrow the search area.

The plane’s Emergency Locator Transmitter has reportedly made intermittent transmissions.

The National Transportation Safety Board will begin their investigation into the incident if wreckage is found.
