Repaving on ID-51 in Mountain Home begins week of June 4
MOUNTAIN HOME - Beginning the week of June 4, will start a
rehabilitation project on Idaho Highway 51 (Airbase Road) from 3rd
West Street to the junction of ID-51/ID-67. This needed rehabilitation will improve the road surface and extend the life of the roadway.
Work includes milling off the top layer of asphalt and laying down fresh pavement. The work will occur during the day and into the evening hours, with the paving occurring at night.
One lane in each direction will remain open and traffic will be controlled by flaggers. Through traffic can expect delays up to 20 minutes. Access to adjacent businesses will remain open for the work, although some short term access delays will occur when paving operation is moving by business accesses.
Work is expected to complete by early July.
The contractor for this $1.2 million project is Knife River Corporation.
