I-84 sealcoat from the Oregon border into Idaho begins week of June 11
BOISE – Construction will begin the week of June 11 on east-bound lanes of Interstate 84 from the Oregon Stateline to the Black Canyon Road exit (exit 13). The project is expected to complete by late June.
Crews will place a sealcoat on both eastbound lanes. Eastbound traffic will be crossed over to westbound lanes in Oregon. Access to get on and off the interstate will remain open at the US-30/US-95 exit (Fruitland) during the project. The US-30 exit (New Plymouth) will be closed to eastbound traffic but remain open for traffic westbound.
Sealcoats are cost-effective ways to improve the conditions of the pavement and preserve the life of the interstate.
Kloepfer Inc. is the contractor on this $886,000 project.
