Work on Idaho Highway 24 to resume next week
SHOSHONE---Work is expected to resume next week on Idaho Highway 24 north of Rupert. This is part of a larger project that began this spring and is expected to be completed by end of summer.
During construction, the base of the highway will be rebuilt and paved with a sealcoat applied later in the season. The project will also include pipe, sign, and guardrail replacement.
Traffic on this portion of ID-24 will be reduced during working hours to one lane. Flagging operations will be in place and motorists may encounter minor delays. Drivers should expect reduced speeds throughout the project and watch for crews during working hours - Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The general contractor is Western Construction, Inc. from Boise.
