Bridge preservation work scheduled throughout summer in Treasure Valley
BOISE – Maintenance work on multiple bridges in Meridian and Boise is scheduled to begin in late June and continue through the summer. Improvements will protect and preserve pavement life.
Construction will begin at the Interstate 84, Meridian Road Interchange and continue to the following locations. Below is a list of these bridge projects, with scheduleds and work hours included. Schedules are subject to change.
PROJECTS
Meridian Road Interchange Bridge over I-84
(Late June/Early July) 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Broadway Avenue Interchange Bridge over I-84
(Mid-July) 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
I-84 bridges, between the Gowen Road Interchange and the Broadway Interchange
(Mid/Late July) 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Broadway Bridge over the Boise River
(Late July/Early August) 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Cole Road and Overland Road Intersection Bridge over I-84
(Mid-August) 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The contractor is permitted to work weekends. Motorists can expect lane reductions on the bridge structures, reduced speeds in the work zones, periodic flagger control and intermittent on- and off-ramp closures at the interchange projects.
During ramp closures, detours will be in place. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes and follow detour signage. Work will pause July 3-5 with all lanes open to allow for Independence Day traffic.
