Transportation department schedules open house on I-15/I-86 Interchange

POCATELLO – The Idaho Transportation Department is hosting a public open house on Tuesday (Aug. 14) to share information on the replacement of the I-15/I-86 System Interchange.

The open house will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Highland High School, 1800 Bench Road in Pocatello. Transportation department staff will be available to answer questions, and displays will illustrate information about the project. Those interested can stop by any time between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The I-15/I-86 System Interchange was built in the 1960s and is reaching the end of its design life. The area surrounding the interchange has experienced rapid residential growth in the last decade. As a result, congestion and limited points of access to the interstate are a growing concern.

The transportation department is evaluating a revised system interchange configuration that would improve safety and mobility.

Additional information can be found at: http://arcg.is/fLHDK.
