Pavement preservation to begin week of Aug. 13 near Mountain Home
BOISE - The Idaho Transportation Department will begin pavement preservation in and around Mountain Home, beginning the week of Aug. 13. Construction is expected to be complete in September.
Sealcoats are a cost-effective way to preserve and extend the life of the pavement.
The work zones include:
• The Sunset Strip (I-84B) - Exit 90 to E. 8th N.
• American Legion Blvd. (I-84B) - N. 2nd E. to N. 14th E.
• US-20 – Industrial Way to Cat Creek Summit
Motorists will be guided through each work zone by flaggers and a pilot car, with short delays possible. ITD encourages everyone to slow down, follow posted speed signs and watch for crews working in the area.
The contractor for this $1.9 million project is Intermountain Slurry Seal, Inc.
