Work resumes next week on ID-46 project near Buhl

SHOSHONE -- This month crews will replace the old box culvert on Idaho Highway 46 north of the Buhl high school. Utilities are expected to be relocated starting Wednesday, Oct. 25. Construction operations will then follow with a new box culvert being placed. Work to pave the tie-ins from the bridge to the roadway on either side of the structure will also occur.

ID-46 will be closed to through traffic between Sawtooth Road and 4300 N Road during construction. Signs will be in place to direct motorists around the closure - local traffic will be allowed through.

Electronic signs are in place along the route to alert drivers of the upcoming road closure. Drivers should anticipate possible delays during construction.

This portion of the project is expected to finish in mid-November. The final phase of this project will take place next summer with a sealcoating application.

Knife River is the contractor on this project.
