Public invited to discuss Emmett street improvements Dec. 13
EMMETT - The City of Emmett will host a public information meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 13 to discuss and get public input on proposed street and pedestrian improvements to Main Street.
The meeting will be held at the Emmett City Hall, 501 E. Main from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A brief project overview will be given at 4:30 p.m. and at 6 p.m. An opportunity for questions and comments will follow each presentation.
The proposed Main Street improvements are between Boise and Washington Avenues and include reconstructing the sidewalk, curb, and gutter, and improving street drainage.
The project is currently in preliminary design, which includes preparing an environmental evaluation to assess the potential environmental effects of the improvements. After the Dec. 13 public meeting, the City of Emmett will complete the project design. Another public information meeting will be held in late 2007 to present the final project design and discuss the construction schedule.
Project construction is anticipated to take place in late 2010.
