Public meeting Feb. 13 for Middle Fork Payette River Bridge
BOISE COUNTY, ID - Boise County will host a public information meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 13, to discuss the proposal to replace the Middle Fork Payette River Bridge, located south of Crouch.

The meeting will be held between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. at the Crouch Community Hall, 1022 Old Crouch Road. It will be an open house with presentations at 6 and 7 p.m. Boise County is holding the informative meeting to obtain input regarding the possible location for the bridge and the impacts on the surrounding community.

In addition to improving road safety and reliability, the project will:

  • Design a new two-lane bridge over the Middle Fork of the Payette River that will accommodate heavier loads.
  • Improve the reliability of the river crossing and enhance the safety of commerce into the city.
  • Potentially adjust the bridge to address traffic concerns where sharp curves currently exist at the bridge approaches.

Boise County is seeking public input before beginning the design phase. After the public meeting on Feb. 13, a conceptual project design will be developed. A public meeting will be held in 2008 to present the final project design and discuss the construction schedule. Construction is anticipated to take place in 2011.

Public involvement is essential to this process. Please attend this meeting to learn more about the proposed bridge locations and road alignments, to provide input regarding the pros and cons of each alternative of this project and to get your questions answered.
