Idaho 47 closed between Ashton and Bear Gulch
ASHTON - Idaho 47 between milepost 1 and milepost 12.42 closed Monday at 8 a.m. because of blowing and drifting snow, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The section of the highway closed is between Ashton and Bear Gulch.
Transportation department crews are monitoring the section of highway and will reopen it when driving conditions improve.
During the fall and winter months, the transportation department advises motorists to monitor road conditions by calling 511 or visiting 511.idaho.gov.
