Idaho 47 opened between Ashton and Bear Gulch

ASHTON ‑ Idaho 47 between milepost 1 and milepost 12.42 opened Wednesday at 9:52 a.m., the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) announced.

ITD closed the highway Monday at 8 a.m. because of blowing and drifting snow.

The section of the highway was closed between Ashton and Bear Gulch.

During the fall and winter months, the transportation department advises motorists to monitor road conditions by calling 511 or visiting 511.idaho.gov.
