Work resumes on the U.S. 30 bridge east of Murtaugh on Friday
SHOSHONE - Work will resume Friday on the bridge deck over the Twin Falls Main Canal east of Murtaugh on U.S. 30 (mp 238), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

Beginning Friday, March 2, traffic will be reduced to one lane over the bridge, guided by a temporary traffic signal. Motorists can expect delays of up to 15 minutes. Vehicles are limited to a maximum width of 12 feet through the construction zone, and the speed limit will be reduced to 35 mph.

This project includes putting new concrete on the top portion of the bridge deck, replacing bridge joints and repairing deteriorated sections of the bridge.

Motorists are reminded to slow down in the construction areas. Rear-end collisions account for most work zone crashes.

Construction is expected to be complete by late April. Cannon Builders Inc. of Blackfoot is the project contractor.
