Big Lost River rest area on U.S. 20-26 near Arco to close for reconstruction
RIGBY - The Big Lost River rest area on U.S. 20-26, approximately 16 miles east of Arco (milepost 265), will be closed March 19 for reconstruction, the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) announced.
The rest area project is scheduled for completion by the end of November, but the facility will reopen earlier if work is finished sooner than expected. Temporary rest facilities will not be provided.
The project will include constructing a new rest area building, reconfiguring site layout, enlarging parking areas, upgrading the water‑supply system, installing a new water‑treatment system, placing new sidewalks and improving lighting.
