MEDIA ADVISORY: Idaho Transportation Department hosts media event to promote safety around snow plows
BOISE - With the approach of winter weather and challenging driving conditions on Idaho’s highways, the Idaho Transportation Department is hosting a media event to encourage safe driving around snow plows.
The event will be today Wednesday, December 5 at the Southwest Idaho Offices from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Details below.
A snow plow driver will be available to talk to reporters about the best way to stay safe when encountering the plows. A plow and stored salt pile will be at the event as a backdrop.
Each year, the transportation department organizes a winter safety campaign that offers a variety of information and tips on being prepared for winter conditions. The campaign is called “Idaho Ready.” Additional information can be found at: https://itd.idaho.gov/road-mtce/.
