Overnight work near Rose Road Interchange (Exit 98) scheduled for next week

POCATELLO – Overnight delays near the Rose Road Interchange (Exit 98) are scheduled for January 7-11, weather permitting. The contractor will be moving large concrete structures into the median as part of the interchange reconstruction.

The sections will be moved on Interstate 15 between midnight and 5:30 a.m. A pilot car will be used to slow traffic through the area. Motorists can expect 15-minute delays while the sections are moved. A message board will alert southbound travelers of traffic conditions.

“We are asking that motorists be patient during these overnight traffic delays. Safety continues to be our first priority,” said ITD Eastern Idaho Project Engineer Eric Staats.

This work is part of a year-long project to reconstruct the interchange at Rose Road on I-15. Construction includes widening the Rose Road overpass and increasing its vertical clearance, reconfiguring and lengthening the interchange ramps, and replacing two canal structures to support current traffic loads. The project is expected to be completed in late 2019.
