Overnight lane closures on I-84 for Cloverdale overpass work in Boise
BOISE - The Idaho Transportation Department will require overnight single lane closures on Interstate 84 in Boise next week to allow construction of the new Cloverdale Overpass support piers.
The far left lane and shoulder will be closed on both eastbound and westbound I-84 from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. beginning Sunday Jan. 27. Three lanes in both directions will remain open. Nightly closures are expected to continue until Friday morning Feb. 1. The traveling public is encouraged to drive attentively and follow all posted signs.
During the lane closures, crews will construct the foundation and erect support piers for the new Cloverdale Overpass bridge. The bridge will include two travel lanes in each direction and two 13.5-foot shared pathways.
"Crews have been making great time on this project, which is on a very accelerated schedule," said ITD Resident Engineer Jayme Coonce. "We appreciate the public's continued patience during these closures as we construct the improved bridge."
This work is a joint project with the Ada County Highway District to improve Cloverdale Road between Franklin Road and Camas Drive. Additional information about the project can be found at http://www.achdidaho.org/Projects/proj_road_cloverdale-road-franklin-road-to-camas-drive
