Community invited to June 6 open house to learn about US-95 construction and water-main replacement in New Meadows

BOISE - The Idaho Transportation Department is working with the City of New Meadows to improve the pavement surface on US-95 and replace the city’s water-main this summer.

Community members are invited to an open house on June 6, 2019 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the P&IN Railway Depot (101 N. Commercial Ave.) in New Meadows to learn more.

The US-95, South End Road to Junction Idaho 55 project will result in a smoother, safer road surface and a new water main. Construction will begin in early June and will be completed by late summer.

“By combining this work into one project, ITD and the City will minimize disruptions to businesses, drivers and residents,” said ITD Project Engineer Michael Lucas. “We are committed to this community during construction. Business access will remain open and residents will have water service during this project.”
