Idaho 33 will be closed temporarily March 29 for INL convoy

RIGBY - A section of Idaho 33 between Howe and Mud Lake will be closed for a short period March 29, the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) announced.

The Idaho National Laboratory (INL) will close Idaho 33 between mileposts 29 and 34 on Thursday for 25 to 30 minutes starting at 10 a.m. to move equipment from its Test Area North facility along this 5-mile section of Idaho 33 to Lincoln Boulevard.

Assuming light winds, INL will move the decommissioned equipment on a convoy of four trucks to facilities to the south on Lincoln Boulevard.

Traffic can avoid the closure by taking Idaho 22 and Idaho 28 between Howe and Mud Lake, although this detour takes approximately 25 minutes.
