Construction work will create minor delays on Idaho 55
BOISE - There will be minor delays on Idaho 55 north of Smiths Ferry during the week of April 16 for work on a drainage pipe, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
Motorists are advised to expect 15 minute delays on a section of Idaho 55 that is about 1 1/2 mile north of Smiths Ferry. Travel on that section will be reduced to a single lane, with flaggers directing north- and southbound traffic through the one open lane. The construction project is anticipated to last through Friday, April 20.
The work will take place between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. There will be signs in the area informing motorists of the project. The pipe will help drain rainwater from Idaho 55.
