Paving work Wednesday (April 18) will complete first phase of Eagle Westbound Off-ramp construction
BOISE - Motorists can expect delays on Wednesday (April 18) during paving in the Eagle Westbound Off-ramp construction area, the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) announced.

Flaggers will briefly stop off-ramp traffic at Eagle Road when necessary for construction vehicles to enter and exit the off-ramp. Work will occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. If outside temperatures do not reach the required level for asphalt, the paving will be postponed to Thursday (April 19).

The paving work is for the new left-turn lane on the off-ramp, and will complete the first of four construction phases for the project. Traffic will be shifted Friday night to the right so the second phase (widening the right side of the off-ramp) can begin.

The Eagle Westbound Off-ramp project began in late March and will lengthen the ramp 1,600 feet. The off-ramp will be widened to include dual left and dual right turn lanes for turning north and south onto Eagle Road.

When complete, the project will improve traffic flow at the intersection and reduce the amount of vehicles backing up onto the interstate.
