Attention News Directors: The following information is effective tonight (May 16th) and will impact Interstate 90 traffic in Idaho.
COEUR D'ALENE - Eastbound traffic on I-90 at Blue Creek Bay Bridge east of Coeur dAlene will experience delays up to 20 minutes tonight (May 16th) between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m., the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
Contractor's crews will be replacing a bridge expansion joint in the eastbound travel lane. The expansion joint was scheduled to be replaced next month. It has, however, deteriorated to a point requiring immediate replacement. Work is expected to take about two hours. Motorists are urged to plan accordingly.
Variable message signs along I-90 will be used to warn motorists of the delays and closure and will also be used to advise when the eastbound lane has re-opened.
