Fatal semi-truck crash prompts closure of U.S. 30 east of Montpelier
POCATELLO - U.S. 30 between Montpelier and the Idaho/Wyoming line closed around 2 p.m. today because of a fatal traffic crash involving three semi-trucks, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
Emergency crews, including a hazardous materials team dispatched to clean up spilled diesel, are on the scene. Officials estimate the route could be closed until early evening. Motorists are advised to use U.S. 89 as an alternate route.
