Repairs to the junction of U.S. 93 and I-84 overpass begin May 29
SHOSHONE - The northbound lanes of U.S. 93 at the junction of I-84 (milepost 53), will be closed and traffic diverted to the southbound lanes, with one lane open in each direction beginning Tuesday (May 29), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

Crews will begin the first phase of repairs to the part of the I-84 overpass that was damaged Jan. 14 when a truck hauling construction equipment hit it. Delays of 10-15 minutes can be expected. Speed limits will be reduced from 45 mph to 30 mph.

Vehicles are limited to a maximum width of 16 feet through the work zone. Traffic restrictions will be in place only during daylight hours.

This phase of the repair work is expected to be completed by early June. Idaho Construction Company of Kimberly is the project contractor.
