Construction on Clark Hill rest area near Ririe to start Monday (June 4)
RIGBY - Construction on the Clark Hill rest area approximately six miles east of Ririe on U.S. 26 will start Monday (June 4), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The renovation is expected to be finished in late December, but the facility will reopen earlier if work concludes sooner than expected. Temporary rest facilities will not be provided. Construction was scheduled to start on April 23 but was postponed to allow two eaglets nearby to mature.
Crews will renovate the rest area building, reconfigure the site layout, enlarge parking areas, upgrade the water supply system, install a new wastewater treatment system, place new sidewalks and improve lighting.
ITD awarded Ovard Construction Inc. of Idaho Falls the $2 million project on March 14.
