Construction on railroad crossing on U.S. 26 near Ririe to start Monday (June 4)
RIGBY - Construction on a railroad crossing on U.S. 26, approximately 3 miles southwest of Ririe, will start Monday (June 4), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
Crews will reconstruct the railroad crossing located at milepost 348 from the ground up using new concrete planking. The project is scheduled for completion on Friday (June 8).
During construction, travel will be reduced to one lane in each direction, and the speed limit will be reduced. Work will take place between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The project is a joint effort of ITD and the Eastern Idaho Railroad.
For their own safety and for the safety of construction crews, motorists are encouraged to obey the posted speeds.
