Culvert replacement for widening project to improve ID-81 between Declo and Burley
SHOSHONE - Work is expected to begin Feb. 10 to replace box culverts and add new irrigation structures in various locations on Idaho Highway 81 between Declo and Burley. These improvements will set the stage for reconstruction of the roadway, which will result in safer travel.
Work on this project will be done in phases, with initial pipework occuring in February and March. Additional work will begin on the roadway this spring, when warmer weather permits.
Drivers can expect reduced speeds and width restrictions throughout this project. Pilot cars, flaggers and temporary traffic signals will also be utilized. Motorists can anticipate lane reductions, and are encouraged to find an alternate route during construction if possible.
Western Construction Inc., of Boise, is the contractor on this project.
