Traffic signal patterns to be tested on Blue Lakes Boulevard in Twin Falls May 4
SHOSHONE - A new traffic signal timing system will be tested on Blue Lakes
Boulevard at its intersections with Falls, Caswell, Filer, Heyburn and Addison
avenues starting Wednesday (May 4). The Idaho Transportation Department and
engineers from the city of Twin Falls will conduct the tests.
The new system
will reduce motorist delays along this heavily used corridor, as well as reduce
vehicle emissions.
Information gathered from the test can be used to develop new traffic signal progression plans for other closely spaced signals in Twin Falls. The effort is part of Twin Falls computerized system that enables communication from City Hall to any of the citys 32 traffic signals.
