I-84 Garrity Overpass nighttime repair work starts Thursday (June 28)
BOISE - Nighttime repair work will start Thursday evening (June 28) on a Garrity Overpass girder that was damaged by an over-height vehicle in the fall of 2006, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The center turn lanes on Garrity Boulevard below Interstate 84 will close from 9 p.m. on Thursday to 6 a.m. on Friday. The repair work may call for the closure of the center lanes on Friday and Saturday, between the same hours. Motorists exiting Interstate 84 at the eastbound and westbound off-ramps at night will be directed by flaggers if they are making a left-hand turn onto Garrity Boulevard.
The repair work will not cause impacts to traffic on Interstate 84.
For current driving conditions on Idaho highways, call 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov.
