Online public meeting begins today for improvements to Idaho 69 in Kuna and Meridian
MERIDIAN – The Idaho Transportation Department will host an online public meeting June 29 to July 20 to gather input about improving Idaho 69 between Kuna and Meridian. Community members may visit itdprojects.org/ID69corridor at their convenience during the three-week period.
The meeting is part of a study of Idaho 69 that began last year in response to increased traffic delays and safety concerns. ITD is developing a vision to expand the road, improve intersections and provide safe access.
“Public input plays a vital role in determining the best plan for Idaho 69, even while social distancing requirements are in place,” said Mark Wasdahl, a senior transportation planner for ITD. “We are asking for input from those who live, work and commute along the highway.”
ITD will take the final vision for adoption by ACHD and the cities of Kuna and Meridian.
Comments may be submitted by visiting the online meeting at itdprojects.org/ID69corridor, calling (208) 334-8874 or emailing mark.wasdahl@itd.idaho.gov. Those who do not have the ability to engage online are encouraged to use this contact information, and a member of the project team will provide other resources to participate.
