Cloverdale Road Overpass opened Friday (June 29)
BOISE - The Cloverdale Road Overpass opened to traffic Friday afternoon (June 29) after being closed for repairs, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The overpass was damaged in July 2006 when it was struck by an over-height vehicle traveling eastbound on Interstate 84. The impact damaged several bridge girders, requiring weight restrictions on the structure. After careful analysis, the transportation department determined two girders on the overpass would have to be replaced.
The overpass had been closed to vehicles, bicyclists and pedestrians from May 30 until Friday. The previous weight restrictions have been lifted.
For current Idaho highway driving conditions, call 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov.
