Carrot Ridge Road at Lolo Creek south of Orofino to close Monday for bridge project
LEWISTON -- A road that serves local traffic in rural Idaho County will be closed Monday for about four months while contractors replace a bridge over Lolo Creek, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

RSCI of Meridian will close Carrot Ridge Road at the junction of Idaho 11, approximately five miles south of Orofino, until Oct. 31. Local traffic will be routed around the project. Motorists should watch for posted detour signs.

ITD is administering the bridge replacement project for sponsoring Idaho County.

Contractors will replace the existing one-lane structure with a two-lane, 70-foot pre-cast concrete girder bridge. Although vehicles will be unable to cross Lolo Creek on Carrot Ridge Road during construction, a temporary pedestrian bridge will be built to accommodate foot traffic for a nearby residence and construction workers.
