Nighttime lane restrictions on I-84 scheduled to begin Tuesday (July 17), for Locust Grove Overpass
BOISE - Interstate 84 motorists can expect nighttime lane restrictions near the Locust Grove Overpass for up to four weeks beginning Tuesday (July 17), the Idaho Transportation Department announced. The restrictions will impact eastbound and westbound traffic.

Monday evenings through Saturday mornings, lanes will be reduced between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. for the installation of deck formwork beneath the Locust Grove Overpass. At least one travel lane will remain open in each direction.

The new overpass, scheduled to be finished in winter 2007/2008, will connect Locust Grove Road and offer an extended route over Interstate 84 between Eagle Road and Meridian Road. Currently, Locust Grove Road south of Interstate 84 ends near the interstate. The north side of Locust Grove Road also ends near Interstate 84. The overpass will have two lanes in each direction, including sidewalks and bike lanes on both sides.

Concrete Placing Company Inc. of Boise is the contractor for the $5.8 million project.
