Shifting traffic pattern, ramp closures on I-84 in Caldwell for construction
CALDWELL - ITD will shift traffic to the outside shoulders near Franklin Rd Interchange (Exit 29) in Caldwell beginning tonight. Work to shift traffic is expected to take all week (Sept. 7 -12).
Crews will restripe I-84, place guardrail and close the eastbound on-ramp at 10th Avenue and the off-ramp at Franklin. During this work, I-84 will be reduced to 45 mph at night.
What to expect Sept. 7-12:
- I-84 will be reduced to one lane in each direction overnight (10 p.m. to 5 a.m.)
- Speed limits overnight will be reduced to 45 mph
- On Thursday night (Sept. 9) the eastbound on-ramp at 10th Ave (Exit 28) and the eastbound off-ramp at Franklin Road (Exit 29) will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
