Construction on ID-55 Smiths Ferry to Round Valley project winds down for winter season
SMITHS FERRY – Construction on Idaho State Highway 55 near Smiths Ferry has paused for the winter season. Crews have winterized the work zone and removed equipment from the area. The road has returned to two open lanes for drivers and will stay completely open until spring 2022.
During the fall, crews were able to:
- Build 18,253 feet of retaining walls
- Complete 74 blasts
- Remove 194,411 cubic yards of materials
