Segment of Idaho 6 to close for construction
LEWISTON - A four-mile segment of Idaho 6 will close July 30 for reconstruction from the Washington state line to its intersection with U.S. 95, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

The closure will continue until Oct. 30 when the highway will reopen to traffic for the winter.  Another closure is planned next spring for final paving. During construction, traffic will be routed to Idaho 66. The detour of approximately one mile will be posted with directional signs.

ITD will conduct weekly construction/information meetings, beginning Aug. 1, at the Potlatch Maintenance Shed. Meetings will begin at 12 p.m. and are open to the public.

Scarsella Bros. Inc., of Seattle, is the general contractor for the $3.6 million project.
